In past releases, Oracle Database patch sets consisted of a set of files that replaced files in an existing Oracle home. Beginning with Oracle Database 11g Release 2, patch sets are full installations that replace existing installations.Today, we can download Patch Sets at Oracle Support patch#[10098816] for Linux x86-64, x86.

If I have 11.1 ..Is there is a option to apply only the patch from the whole set ? or need to do a full installation ?

You have to install full and then upgrade your database.
I tested 11.2.0.1 -> 11.2.0.2. I have to install full as well.

I thought that even though they give full installation there may be a option for installaing only patch. :-( .Thanks for your answer.

do you have any guide ,how to apply this patch set to 11.0.2.0.1 ORACLE RAC CLUSTER. I already gone through metalink , no where found the steps for Out-of-place upgrade.

If you need to patch Grid. You have to install(upgrade) on new Home and run rootupgrade.sh
