As some people know, Oracle Data Guard provides the management, monitoring, and automation software to create and maintain one or more standby databases to protect Oracle data from failures, disasters, human error, and data corruptions while providing high availability for mission critical applications. Data Guard is included with Oracle Database Enterprise Edition.
Anyway, if you have to work with Oracle Database Production, you might have to work/use Oracle Data Guard feature. If you are beginning with it. I mention book title Oracle Data Guard 11gR2 Administration Beginner's Guide, it was written by Emre Baransel and Nassyam Basha. They have worked with Oracle Database Product and much experience with Data Guard. A book is very useful and readers will learn real-world practices and issues. In a book, it was written about how to configure and administer Data Guard, give more idea about it. It's easy to read. So, I believe if you don't know much about Oracle Database and begin about Data Guard, this is a book that you should determine for reading.
What did I learn from this book? I got idea and basic about Data Guard. I learned how to configure and manage Oracle Data Guard and learned each parameter and what i was supposed to know, how to fix some issue about it and learned from Good examples that i am able to use them in the real-world.
